Have you ever received criticism from your peers from using a dumbphone?

If so, how have you explained/reasoned your choice of switching?

I haven’t. Sometimes I felt like I was being judged, but that could have been my misconception of other people’s opinions.

From my experience most people understand the appeal of a dumbphone but just can’t see themselves doing it for one reason or another. It’s a good conversation starter for that reason as well. I suppose plenty of people silently judge me and others though, but that’s never bothered me too much.

Not from anyone I frequently meet, but a few people thought it was strange enough to ask about it or considered me lower than them for it. The ones who just thought it was strange weren’t critical per se, more interested by it than anything else.

Most either don’t notice (Probably because I’m not on my phone) Or just give it a perplexed look and go about their day.

I haven’t gotten criticism. There have been a few odd looks when people first notice my using it, but that’s about it. I suspect a lot of people don’t even know that I use one, given that I barely ever have it out.

Yes, I dated someone who kept needling me about it even though I had already told her that I had ordered a Light Phone which would’ve had the features she was making fun of me for not having. Kinda unfair.
